Cold Brew Coffee Skyr Custard Toast

Description

This is our take on the viral yogurt custard toast! 🍞 So easy to make and perfect for a quick Sunday brunch. Our Extra Creamy Cold Brew Coffee Skyr is made with rich + smooth cold brew from Te & Kaffi, a family run coffee roastery and cafe in Iceland that was founded in 1984. This custard toast hits all the right notes. It’s crunchy, rich, creamy, and has just the right amount of sweetness. Dare we say that it would be perfect with a cup of coffee? ☕️

Ingredients
2
Large Slices of Brioche Bread
2 tbsp
Icelandic Provisions Extra Creamy Cold Brew Skyr
1
Large Egg
Pinch of Salt
1/4 tsp
Vanilla Extract
Recipe
Step 1:
Heat oven to 350°F. Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2:
To a small bowl add the skyr, egg, salt, and vanilla, and whisk until smooth. Set aside.
Step 3:
Using either your fingers or the back of a large spoon, make indent along the inside of each slice of brioche.
Step 4:
Place the brioche onto the prepared baking sheet, then pour the custard base into each slice. Be sure to pour in just enough so that it doesn’t overflow.
Step 5:
Sprinkle a few mini chocolate chips over the top, then carefully transfer to the oven.
Step 6:
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the custard has set and is no longer jiggly.
Step 7:
Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then sprinkle with powdered sugar and enjoy!
